There are real estate experts who are in agreement that the property market in a part of Canada is on the up. Both Marc Mawhinney and Peter Pappas are realtors who are optimistic. According to them the boom is about to happen. One of the areas that will see a big increase is St Johns. A home bought for $152 000 last year would cost $175 000 this year. A property for sale does not stay on the market for more than two months. There is a great demand to buy homes in the region from $150 000 to $200 000. Real estate agents are dealing with around seven offers on a property each day.

This is not the case in other parts of Canada. It is possible for international buyers to find a cost effective investment. This is due to the knock on effect of the low US dollar. This has made properties in the US more affordable to foreign investors. The same is happening in a large part of Canada. It is the time to buy a home as an asset. Property in other areas, do not have the benefit of the energy boom experienced in St Johns. Jobs are safe there due to the refineries being built. Under valued properties are rising in interest. Fortunately for the international investor there are good buys in many of the most popular areas of Canada.
